Updated Time Matters/Billing Matters Utilities

Abacus Consulting has updated the Org Helper and Description Edit utilities for Time Matters/Billing Matters.  Both utilities are now available for Time Matters/Billing Matters 9.


Org Helper automates the process of copying organization names to the last name field for effective quick-picks. Description Edit allows full screen billing record editing of the description field.

Time Matters 7.0Open Beta! When editing a Billing Matters™ billing record, are you frustrated that you can only see a few lines of the billing description? The Description Edit utility allows full page editing of the billing description to allow more effective editing and review.

Description Edit was written, and is maintained by Kevin Bross, Time Matters CIC (Certified Independant Consultant) of Abacus Consulting, LLC based in Butler, New Jersey.

Time Matters 8.0 SR1C/SR2A Enterprise or Professional
Time Matters 9.0 Enterprise or Professional
Windows XP SR2 or Windows Vista

Features

  • Automatically pops open a full page editing area to edit Billing Matters billing record description fields

Installation and Upgrades

Run the downloaded setup program to install. During install, optionally add a shortcut to the startup group to run the utility when Windows starts. To upgrade to a newer version, first EXIT THE UTILITY if it is running, then run the setup program. It will install into the same folder using the prior setup options. It is not necessary to uninstall the prior version first. 

Usage Notes

The Description Edit interface will appear automatically when the number of characters in the 'Description' field exceeds 260. The interface can also be manually opened by using the CTRL-E hotkey.

Known Limitations

AutoText will not function within description edit. It may be possible to add autotext functionality using a third party application. Spell check will not function within description edit.

This open beta is currently free of charge during the beta period as long as the terms of the EULA are met. Abacus Consulting reserves the right to charge for future versions of this software utility.
