Open Beta! When adding a Time Matters® or Billing Matters™ contact that is an organization, do you copy the organization name manually to the last name field to speed up searching in lists? Org Helper© automates this process, and also provides hotkey access to the Org button on the Time Matters contact form. About the Org Helper AuthorOrg Helper was written, and is maintained by Kevin Bross, Time Matters CIC (Certified Independant Consultant) of Abacus Consulting, LLC based in Butler, New Jersey. Requirements
Time Matters 8.0 SR1C, SR2 or SR2A Enterprise or Professional Features
Usage NotesDisable Delimiter For most Time Matters users, it is common to have a single organization with multiple locations. Org Helper allows permits this scenario by allowing the use of the pipe character "|" as a separator in the last name field. Org Helper will always try to maintain parity between the Org field and the Last Name field, unless the Pipe character is used to append a location in the Last Name field. For example, typing "Abacus Consulting" in the Org Name field, will cause "Abacus Consulting" to be copied to the Last Name field. Appending " | New York" to "Abacus Consulting" in the Last Name field will disable the copy process allowing multiple locations to exist, such as:
Abacus Consulting | New York Prefix Some users place a prefix, such as "." in the last name field to distinguish Orgs from regular contacts, and to control sort order. The default prefix is blank, however should you wish to add a prefix, edit the defaults.ini file (typically located in c:\Program Files\Org Helper) and specify the prefix in the 'Prefix' key as follows: Prefix=. Note: Be sure not to add any extra spaces before or after the prefix. Time Matters 8 SR2/SR2A Compatibility By default, Org Helper is compatible with Time Matters 8 SR1C. If you are using SR2 or above, make sure you edit the 'SR' key in the defaults.ini file (typically located in c:\Program Files\Org Helper) as follows: SR=2 Known LimitationsNone at this time.
